Pastor E.W Jackson On Ballot for US Senate

A Chesapeake, VA Pastor Who Can Really Help America.

EW Jackson is one of two pastor friends of mine I highly recommend to you.  The other is Pastor Ryan McAdams whom I will write about in a different post.
Our country is falling apart morally and otherwise.  America desperately needs Christians in office to return us to the Christian principles upon which America was started.  Only another Great Awakening will save America, but “righteous exalts a nation” and good political leaders can help restore and protect America’s righteous standing before God.  Unless God blesses and protects America, we are sunk. (Ps. 127:1)
I encourage you to check Pastor E.W Jackson out. Why?
1.  His character. I have had breakfast with him a couple of times in a small pastors’ group.  EW is very genuine, passionate, smart, wise, experienced, highly educated, gody and courageous.  He is a powerful speaker and a courageous leader who is not afraid to tackle the hard issues. I cannot imagine him doing anything for self-serving purposes. American needs men like him in leadership!
2. His platform:  Click the link here to see a summary of the issues he wants to address as a senator.
3. His competency and credentials to lead from experience and by training.  Click here to read his impressive bio.  Great-grandson of a slave, raised in poverty in foster care in the ghetto and then a Marine Corps veteran, Harvard Law grad, 2013 Republican nominee for Lt. Governor of Virginia, and pastor of The Called Church in Chesapeake, VA.
Given the huge diversity within the American Church now, I assume some Christians will not support EW, but I hope they will check him out and pray for God to give us the leaders we need to restore the righteousness of America before God so God can make America great again!  Only God can!

Why All Protestants Need to Thank the Catholic Church

Especially on the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation this Year!

As Protestants celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, all Christians can remember with sadness the necessary split of Christendom by the Protestant Reformation to correct some very bad Catholic theology. Pope Francis, the current Pope, has even praised Luther as a great reformer.

What is missing in this 500th Anniversary–and what has been missing for at least 500 years–are public expressions of gratitude from Protestants to Catholics for giving Protestants the New Testament!

While there are 5800 Greek manuscripts of the New Testament and another 10,000 in other languages, the main Greek manuscripts for our beloved Protestant New Testament were all copied by hand for centuries only by Roman Catholics–mostly by humble monks whose names are known only to God and others in heaven. I can’t wait to hug them and thank them in person!

I propose that we send a Letter to the Editor of the Virginian-Pilot this month to publically thank and honor the Roman Catholic Church for giving us our priceless New Testament.

It is hard to imagine how we or the world could know about Jesus and the Gospel today without the Catholic manuscripts of the Greek New Testament from which most Bible today draw their source.

Worship & Marriage Ministry by Terry & Barbi Franklin: Oct 11-12

Free Worship Concert, Pastor's Meeting and Marriage Seminar Preview

A Treasure Hampton Roads Needs to Discover!

We are honored to have Terry & Barbi Frankin of Nashville, TN. visit Hampton Roads for the third time in four months.  The Franklins lead worshippers into heavenly places and have a beautiful marriage ministry–both of which have blessed thousands across the world for 25 years.  I met them at the home of our friends, Pastor Peter & Margaret McLewin, over dinner.  The Franklin’s had just lead another worship session at Peter’s church, Ingleside Church in Norfolk that weekend.

After dinner, Teri & Barbi led us in worship that was really heavenly. Barbi also sings prophetic songs over people as she plays the violin.  So refreshing! They also shared about how they have built a beautiful marriage after decades of godly prayer together. Click here for a video Terri wrote and sings that really speaks to me as a husband.

I was deeply touched by all of that and I sensed that these two have the kind of seasoned, wise and holy hearts that could help many in Hampton Roads, especially our Christian leaders. We pastors and ministry workers need this kind of ministry. They know lots of ministers, even many famous ones. They knew the agonies and the ecstasies of ministry first hand–especially how to have a strong marriage in ministry.

The McLewins and I heartily recommend the Franklin’s to the Body of Christ in Hampton Roads.  The videos online do not do them justice.

This Oct 11-12, on Wednesday evening and twice on Thursday, they will be ministering to us.  They will lead a service of just worship on Wednesday Oct. 11 at Ingleside Church at  925 Ingleside Rd, Norfolk, VA 23502 starting at 7 PM.  Free and open to the public!

Pastors can meet them at 10:30 on Thursday morning to learn more about their marriage ministry.  Click here to see many details about that. This meeting will be at the IHOP restaurant in Kempsville at 1316 Fordham Dr, Virginia Beach, VA 23464.  That night at 7 PM, Terri & Barbi will lead a shorter time of ministry and give us a preview of what their marriage seminars look like. This meeting place will be announced at the morning meeting. Contact me at this email if you wish to be notified of that location.

Here is more detailed information about the Franklin’s. You will be surprised at the breadth and depth of their ministry!

Terry & Barbi Franklin are singers, songwriters, and speakers that have ministered full- time for over 32 years as a duo, focusing on their theme: “Inspiring Love in the Home & Revival in the Church.” Through Family Worship Events and Marriage Retreats nation-wide, as well as in 39 countries worldwide, they are touching countless marriages and families with the hope and love of Jesus.

Terry & Barbi possess a burning desire to see God bring Revival and Awakening to the church… starting inside our homes… and spreading to the whole Family of God and ultimately to unbelievers. Their sons, Tyler and Travis, ministered with them until their later college years, and now they are both married. As skilled singers, along with Terry’s abilities at the keyboard and Barbi’s talent on violin, they lead listeners into a worship experience that touches many hearts through their harmonies and heart-felt message.

Giving all the glory to God for His blessings and favor, they have founded a mission’s organization called Heart for the World, Inc, (now called Love Sings) which focuses on evangelism as well as bringing encouragement to marriages and families world-wide. Through marriage retreats, evangelistic festivals, and worship gatherings around the globe, the Franklins have seen many thousands of souls saved, churches planted, and lives changed by their message of hope, redemption, and restoration.

Through the years, they have worked with many well-known Christian leaders and artists such as Billy Graham, Jim Cymbala and The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Focus on the Family, Coach Bill McCartney and Promise Keepers, Adrian Rogers, Jack Hayford, Steve & Annie Chapman, Bill & Gloria Gaither, David Jeremiah, Kay Arthur, Gary Smalley, Judge Roy Moore, Josh McDowell, Don Wildmon and The American Family Association, and many others. ( Empahsis mine)

As songwriters, they have had noteworthy success. Artists across a wide range, from The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir to Carrie Underwood have recorded their songs. They have won numerous Dove Awards and award nominations but more important to them are the changed lives and healed marriages and families they have seen through the years as God has used them.

Lot’s of Youtube videos of their music ministry here.   I looked at a few. Honestly–these videos do not communicate the power of their worship ministry now. They are at a new level of ministry now from what I have seen.

Come and see:

Wednesday, Oct 11 at 7 PM at Ingleside Church in Norfolk

at 925 Ingleside Rd, Norfolk, VA 23502

Three Florida Churches Report on the Toronto Blessing in February, 1995

Lessons to Learn Before the Next Move of God!

These are extraordinary letters written by three church pastors in Florida that show even an anti-charismatic church responding well to this move of God that has been so controversial. The friendship of the pastors made this all possible. Their love for one another before this move allowed them to trust each other enough to test out this move together. Well worth the read!

I know a lot about all this. I was heavily involved in it for years. God changed my life in wonderful ways. I also learned some hard lessons about myself and about others.  I love the leaders of the Toronto Blessing–The Arnotts and Randy Clark. They are very dear to me.

Another wave of revival is coming. I can feel it in my spirit. Many people can worldwide.  We need to learn from this last move of God so we can coach others to live in revival times for the greatest glory of God and for the salvation of millions!

The letters can be found here.
